“ I was born in 1988 in Palo Alto, California, as a baby my parents brought me first to Barcelona and a bit later to Cardedeu, where I now live. I don’t remember my first contact with a Spray Can but I know that I was making ugly pieces already in 2005. “

Aryz was first known for his crazy Pop Surrealist style using the spray can, but after an accident left him temporarily unable to use his index finger, he was forced to look for other ways to express his visions.

This incident lead him to working more with the brush and also doing bigger versions with a roller (as seen on the flyer). It is incredible to think that what is already so amazing with a paint brush or spraypaint he has also been able to translate using a super-long roller...

My roots consist of urban art and especially the life form “graffiti” and “street art”. My inner desire and curiosity to explore new things, fields and art forms has brought me to the urban living space, which complements the contrast to my natural, rural background perfectly.

Since 2004 I’ve been known as the alias “biserama” and started my studies in free art at the Art University in Lahr, Black Forest, Germany. Since 2005 I’ve been working as a freelance, independent artist.

My work itself encompasses many different areas of Urban Art. Large and extensive wall productions, stencils, and the creation and experimentation with sculptures; design toys and installations are only a few examples describing my activities in general. At present I concentrate on constructing sculptures out of plaster, wood and cardboard in combination with a variety of stylistic devices and different forms of media.

The Play with ambiguity, masquerade, status, wasting/extravagance, loss of identity, abnormal conditions and unconscious provocation as well as oppositions lie in the focus of almost all my works.

Furthermore Fighting Spirit, Staying Power, Freedom and well-fortified are sources for my creativeness and my work.

BOM.K was born in 1973 and he lives and works in Paris. He has been painting graffiti since he was fifteen and has exhibited widely in galleries throughout France for the last 5 years. Bom.K’s intricate delicate pencil drawings are a stark contrast to the sometimes pornographic and often brutal subject matter he chooses. He earned his place at the dizzying heights at the top of French Graffiti scene since his release of his book HB Black trace in 2007.

“ I first used this name when I started doing graffiti in 1996 and I did my first piece in 1997. Does is the third person singular of the word “to do”. My interest in graffiti began when I started to notice that there were quite a few graffiti writers active in my neighbourhood. The Hall of Fame in Geleen was an especially big source of inspiration to me. The Hall of Fame was a desolate place under the railway, overgrown with plants and trees, there were long walls decorated with interesting pieces. The place gave me an exciting feeling.

In 2000 I stopped for three years but in 2003 I made my comeback on the wall. My style is a combination of a basic style and a wild style with some graphic influences. I like to play with forms, techniques, colours, spaces and effects.

I regularly work together with 9 other artists under the name of LoveLetters. Besides my weekly visits to Belgium, I have also worked in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, England, Greece, Luxemburg, Spain, Switzerland, Curacao and the USA. ”

NYCHOS and the RABBITEYE MOVEMENT

In early years already, Nychos became occupied with Comic/cartoondrawing and sensed in which direction life would drag him! yet only while his school education, where he became graphic designer and through "psychic anomalies", he set free his imploring creative urge! he mentions the encounter with the white rabbit. Working with cans was the quickest way to get colours into pictures. so far graffiti/streetart is his main field of work! the white rabbit accompanies him as of 2004 and since then, "they" are unstoppable! In the year 2005, he launched the project and Streetart label "RABBIT EYE MOVEMENT"! the rabbit eye movement is just a little part in his creative universe but a very important part for his whole development as an artist. Today he works and lives in Vienna !

Probs is made of Nintendo. Wildstyle Digital graffiti, Kung-Fu and Ninjas.
His painting style rejects the mundane natural order. Following the true principles of Infinite Tactics, Deceptive Perspective and the ancient art of the dirty hand style; the mastering of many handstyles and removal of all consciousness.

Each piece is created with total freedom of movement, a martial art hand style, embodied with the spirit of battle and the Samurai funk of 40,000 years. Lines painted without hesitation, attacking, decisive, explosive, fluid paint strokes.

The Deceptive Perspective concept was conceived in the digital three-dimensional mind of the artist. Linear constructs fabricated in graphite have travelled through into the next dimension, but were affected, mutated. These distorted forms, thrown out of existence, morph into wildly impossible 3D calligraphy, scattering minds and deceiving vision.

“Growing up, frustrated with the school-system I felt that my creativity did not have a place within more conventional artistic practices. I was drawn to unpretentious Hip Hop culture, and it’s youth orientated, d-i-y ethos as an escape from the institutionalized paths laid out for me. I started doing graffiti in 1988 at the tender age of 13. I was first known for my handstyles (tags), for the first few years all I did was bomb,self taught I strove to be the best I could be.

Growing up in South London, I saw the whole bus bombing movement evolve and my brother (Shucks) and I wanted to be a part of it. We both went to school in west London and saw the the first and second wave of train graffiti riding the different tube lines. Travelling across London, skating as we went, we were able to see the art that was being produced by different crews across the metropolis, thus giving us a great understanding of how to do it properly.

In 1997 my brother and I started a crew called the Ivory Dukes, it has now grown to have 13 members, all of which have different styles and are all infamous in their own right. We differed from other crews for originally doing politically satirical and comedy murals.

I focused on characters at this point as I felt that this form was not being represented in the scene at the time. Using the human form I felt made my work accessible and individual, setting up a conversation between the characters and the letters in each piece. I had always drawn cartoons since a small child and developed my own style which is instantly recognizable. I am constantly painting and drawing, trying to push myself and my art.”
